Spring has officially sprung in Ballymoney, as it hosted yet another successful Spring Fair on 19th & 20th April 2024.

Now in its seventh year, this year’s fair was the best attended to date, with over 5,000 people enjoying two days of festivities.

Hugo Duncan’s outdoor broadcast featuring special guests, started the fair on Friday alongside the Naturally North Coast & Glens Artisan Market, offering a wide range of locally produced arts, crafts, and food.

The always popular tea dance in Ballymoney Town Hall was well supported with participants enjoying the dancing, accompanied with music from Steve Farlow. Food sampling gave visitors the opportunity to experience locally sourced and produced artisan food.

On Saturday, the town was bustling with live music by County star Ritchie Remo, fun carnival rides, dance performances, and the grand finale carnival parade, which included spring-themed floats, local community groups, music, and vintage cars. The town was a sea of vibrant colour, with an upbeat atmosphere and musical entertainment from FUSE FM and CJ Entertainments. The maypole dancing was a welcomed new addition to the fair, bringing the traditional dance to the town.

The artisan market continued over the two days, complimenting the local independent shops and businesses who always champion the Ballymoney Spring Fair by offering special deals to visitors over the weekend.

Ballymoney Spring Fair 2024 was a safe and very successful weekend of fun for everyone, Council’s events team would like to thank sponsors KRD and Ballymoney Chamber, all those who visited the fair, and all those who supported in the run up to and during the event.
